Questions

What people ask, answered plainly

The questions we are actually asked, answered plainly. If yours is not here, send it with your enquiry.

01

Do you survey before quoting?

Always, and it is free. For most Feltham addresses a video call does it — you walk round on your phone and we measure the volume and look at the doors, the stairs and the parking. For larger houses or awkward access we come out. Neither obliges you to book.

02

What is parking like round here?

Better than most of London and not automatic. Much of Hanworth and Bedfont has driveways or an unrestricted kerb, which makes loading straightforward. The older terraces near the High Street and parts of North Feltham are tighter, and a few streets are permit-controlled, so we check your specific address.

03

Does being near Heathrow change anything?

For traffic timing, yes. The A312 and the roads round the airport perimeter are busy at predictable hours and the Southern Perimeter Road can be slow at shift changes. We plan the loading hour against that rather than discovering it.

04

Do you do flats as well as houses?

Both. Ex-council blocks, conversion flats above shops, and the newer purpose-built stock near the station. The floor, the lift and the communal door decide those jobs, so we ask about all three before pricing.

05

Can you store things between places?

Yes — wrapped, listed on an inventory and racked indoors, collected as part of the same move. Chains here run as long as anywhere in London and it comes up regularly.

06

How do you work out a price?

Volume, access at both ends, how much packing you want done, and distance. Nothing else — not how urgent it sounds, not the season, not what another firm quoted.

07

What gets left out of phone estimates?

The loft, the garage and the shed, every time. Feltham's interwar and post-war stock has all three and they are always coming.

08

Do you provide packing materials?

Yes, and we take the packaging away when we leave. Cartons, tape, tissue and cell partitions sit in the packing quote; the blankets, covers and floor protection that come with the move are included.

09

Are my things insured?

Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies.

10

Do you dismantle and rebuild furniture?

Yes, where the item was designed to come apart — beds, flat-pack wardrobes, tables with removable legs. Where something was built in place we change the route rather than force a joint.

11

What if my completion slips on the day?

The load stays on the vehicle or goes into store overnight rather than onto a driveway. We tell you plainly what that means for the booking rather than sending a surprise invoice.

12

Do you move pianos?

Uprights routinely, with the correct board and straps. Grands we assess first, and out of an upper-floor flat we would rather bring in a piano specialist than improvise.

13

Do you cover Hounslow and Ashford?

The edges, yes. Further into Hounslow, Ealing or Hammersmith is another site's patch on our network, and for moves that are London-wide rather than Feltham-shaped our pan-London sister sites are the better fit.

14

Can you collect from two addresses?

Yes. Two households merging, or a house plus a storage unit emptied on the way. Mention both so the route and timing are costed from the start.

15

Do you do office moves?

Small commercial — offices, practices, studios and units on the trading estates around Bedfont Lakes and the A312. Out of hours usually makes most sense so trading stops for the least time.

16

Who are the crews?

People who do this full time rather than a rotating pool. That is most of what 'professional' means in practice: the same standard of wrapping, the same protection, and a crew that has done your kind of building before.

17

How far ahead should I book?

As soon as you have a date, even a provisional one. Fridays and month-ends go first everywhere in London.

18

What makes you different from the other Feltham firm?

There is another removals company serving this town on our network with a friendlier, more community-facing style. We are the cooler, more procedural one — surveys before numbers, everything in writing. Different businesses, same town; pick whichever suits how you like to be dealt with.

19

Who handles the customs paperwork on a European move?

We do, built from the survey inventory. Since the UK left the EU a household move needs a proper packing list and the destination country's transfer-of-residence process, and each of the four differs.

Still not answered?

Put it in the notes on the quote form. Services covers what we do, coverage covers where, and European removals covers moves that leave the country.

Moving in Feltham?

Send both addresses and a sense of what is coming. We survey — at the property or by video — and come back with a written quote setting out what is included and what would change it.
