Man and van in Feltham

The small end — a room, a studio, a storage unit, or one heavy item. Two people and a van, booked by the job.

Not everything needs a Luton and four people. A room going across the borough, a studio emptied for a handover, a storage unit cleared, one heavy item that will not go in a car — man and van covers it, with the same crews and the same protection.

What it suits

  • Single rooms, studios and lightly filled one-beds across TW13 and TW14
  • Student and shared-house moves to fixed handover times
  • Marketplace, shop and auction collections
  • One awkward item: a sofa, a fridge-freezer, an upright piano, a workbench
  • Clearing a storage unit into a new address

Be honest about the load

The commonest way a small move goes wrong is that it was never a small move. Describe what is actually coming — including the wardrobe you were hoping we would not notice — and we will tell you whether man and van or a proper removal is the cheaper answer. It is frequently the second one, and we would rather say so before you book.

Collections

Things bought secondhand are reliably heavier, more fragile and less packed than they photograph, and often have to leave within a narrow window. What we need is what it actually is, roughly what it weighs, and when it has to be gone by.

The access questions, again

Small loads come out of the awkward buildings — flats above shops, upstairs conversions with a shared front door, blocks with a lift too small for a sofa. Same short list every time: floor, lift, stairwell turn, and where the van can legally stand.

Worth asking

Small-move questions

One person or two?

Two, on anything with furniture in it. One and a van is fine for cartons. A wardrobe down three floors is not a one-person job.

Do you carry, or just drive?

Carry — that is the job. If you genuinely only want a vehicle and a driver while you do the lifting, say so and we will price it that way.

Do you do student and shared-house moves?

Yes, and a steady number of them. A room rather than a flat, a handover time somebody else has fixed, and frequently two addresses on the same day.

Can you collect from a shop or marketplace seller?

Regularly. Tell us what the item actually is, roughly what it weighs, and when it has to be gone by — those three answers decide the vehicle and the crew.

When does it stop being the cheap option?

Around a well-filled one-bed. Past that it becomes two trips and a long day, which costs more than a properly sized removal would have.

Next step

Got a small move on?

Two addresses, the floor at each end, and a rough list or a photo. We will tell you honestly which service is cheaper.
